They are responsible for creating and delivering safe and effective workouts that meet the needs of the class.FITNESS MANAGER: Fitness Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the fitness activities within the facility, including the gym, group exercise classes and personal training. They manage fitness staff, manage the class timetable, suggest areas for improvement and ensure that the facility is clean and well-maintained.PERSONAL TRAINER: Personal Trainers work on a one-on-one basis or in small groups with clients, helping them to develop and achieve their fitness goals. They assess their clients' fitness levels, create personalised workout plans, and provide motivation and support.A career in fitness can be very rewarding no matter what role you choose. Welcome to the world of swim teaching!As a Swim Instructor, you will have the opportunity to educate and progress children through our swimming lesson programme. Meet Kim, who combines her work in the Fire and Rescue service alongside being a swimming teacher at her local swimming pool. Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time work, swim teaching offers great flexibility and life satisfaction for you. There’s also lots of routes to re-train that are reducing barriers for many.​Our programme starts from parent and baby up to competitive level, incorporating RLSS approved water safety criteria to not just ensure that children can swim, but can also make safe and smart decisions around the water.Ideally you will already hold a current SEQ qualification, but if you show us that you are the right candidate, a competent swimmer and keen to learn we will be happy to put you through your training *subject to meeting requirements*. We’ll also ensure that you receive a full induction and regular training so you can be the best you can be.SEQ Level 1 Swimming Assistant (Teaching) Course SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming Course*Requirements* You must be 16 or over to take the final assessment. You will have a mix of both on and off the job training including shadowing your mentor and other colleagues as well as completing training modules. As a lifeguard you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all swimmers. It’s not just sitting around in a chair all day, you will have to be alert, and ready to act fast should any incidents arise. When you aren’t on poolside you will assist with a wide range of activities such as setting up sports equipment, cleaning, assisting customers with their needs and ensuring that you maintain a safe environment at all times.Ideally you will already hold a current RLSS NPLQ qualification, but if you show us that you are the right candidate, a competent swimmer and keen to learn we will be happy to put you through your NPLQ training*. We’ll also ensure that you receive a full induction and regular training so you can be the best you can be.You will be a role model to other swimmers and will have the opportunity to learn additional valuable skills within the Leisure Centre including sales, customer service, effective communication, building workplace confidence and improving your lifesaving abilities!*NPLQ Requirements* You must be 16 or over to take the final assessment.
