WFLCT Charitable Objectives
The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation by the provision of facilities and services in the United Kingdom for leisure and recreation, arts and culture.
The promotion and provision of facilities and services in the United Kingdom in the interest of social welfare for recreation or other leisure type occupation of individuals who have a need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances, or for the public at large, with the object of improving the condition of life for those individuals.
About WLFCT
WFLCT is a Community Interest Company (CIC) As a CIC we are able to attract external funds and grants from industry, commercial organisations and other bodies to support us in delivering community based programmes, targeted towards our key user groups and target audiences. WFLCT is an independent organisation led by trustees Bob Niven, Ian Morfett and Mark Gilbert. The Trustees have a wealth of knowledge in various sectors including extensive work in the Health sector, Telecommunications, and IT. Our Chair Bob Niven CBE was a senior civil servant in the Departments of Employment-and Education, Chief Executive of the then Disability Rights Commission (2000-07) and has been a Non-Executive Director at the East & North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.
