Finance Assistant

Parkwood Leisure Head Office - Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

Up to £27,000

Full Time, Permanent, flexible/hybrid options available.

Based at our head office in Droitwich, our Finance department is on the hunt for an Finance Assistant to join our central support team within the Financial Planning team.  Our finance department has a proven track record for staff training, development and support and we offer free parking, flexible/hybrid working options, study support and access to a local leisure facility as part of our generous package.

The Opportunity

As part of a team, you will:

  • Assist with the P&L budget process;

  • Assist with the P&L forecast process;

  • Assist with the capital budget process, including raising of orders and monitoring of capital spends against budget;

  • Assist with the equipment lifecycle process, including draw down of lifecycle funding;

  • Prepare asset and lifecycle balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items;

  • Deal with internal team queries as a first point of call regarding the above, assisted by the Finance Manager where necessary;

  • Undertake any other duties as may be required by the company.

The Person

  • Studying towards AAT or part qualified by experience.

  • Previous management accounts experience is advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets).

  • Must be IT proficient

  • Meticulous, organised, enthusiastic and hardworking.

  • Good communication skills

  • Have a good attention to detail.

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and timescales

  • Good time management and the willingness to take a hands on approach

  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
