JOB DESCRIPTION
The role will work with staff across the organisation to ensure that our various sources of performance data are turned into valuable insight to help shape our business decisions. This will involve analysing our data to help drive our continuous improvement ambitions.
Assist the development of a data-centric culture within Parkwood Leisure
Working with other staff to understand our current performance and devise business improvements
Driving Parkwood Leisures continuous improvement programme, using data to identify areas for systematic and controlled enhancement
Support all areas of the business with ad hoc performance reports
Work with the IT team to create and maintain a 'single customer view' of the visitors to our centres and venues, combining various data sources to provide a rich portrait of our customers
Uncover and interpret trends from business data and other available data sources.
Create data models to provide clear insights to guide our business strategy
Quickly understand and assimilate business processes
Effectively translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytic best practices and frameworks within
Identify systems and processes that negatively impact data collection and analysis
Provide ongoing maintenance of published solutions and regular helpdesk support.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Excellent problem solver – demonstrable experience of developing solutions to resolve business challenges
Demonstrate successful interactions with business and technical stakeholders
Experience of working with a variety of datasets and being able to shape and manipulate data
Utilising dashboards through third party products (we currently use Google Looker Studio)
Understanding of querying large databases (e.g. SQL / MySQL / BigQuery, etc)
Advanced spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets and/or Excel)
Statistical analysis
Analysing performance trends
Experience of working in sport and leisure is not required, although an understanding of the industry would be an advantage
Understanding of data protection / GDPR principles
Have passion for using data to tell stories

LOCATION: Chorley (Hybrid working)
