A focal point of the Cardiff International Sports Village, located in a stunning setting in Cardiff Bay, this facility was opened in 2007 and remains one of the flagship sites in the City. It delivers health, sport and physical activity to its local communities whilst also being of  regional and national significance for swimming and other aquatic disciplines.

The Swimming Pool Complex hosts an International 50m, 10-lane competition pool incorporating two booms, which when raised can subdivide the area into a 10-lane 25m short-course competition pool along with two additional 25m training pools both with moveable floors giving the site unprecedented programme flexibility.

The venue also boasts spectacular separate Leisure waters, incorporating a beach area, flumes, space bowl, lazy river and bubble lounger along with a warm up/cool down 25m pool making the complex one of the largest swimming facilities in the UK.

As well as the fantastic swimming facilities there is a ‘state of the art’ Fitness Centre incorporating a 70 Station Gym with functional and strength areas, Health Suite, and Dance/Spin Studio’s, as well as an extensive café/bar area.

This role requires a leader who is motivated and inspired by running a flagship facility and

building and developing strong relationships with the City Council, local community and NGB’s to continue to deliver a high level of activities and prestigious events at the site.

We are seeking an individual who is committed to delivering financial and commercial success as well as ensuring that participation and engagement both inside the centre and the surrounding communities is achieved. The importance of the community impact as well as the commercial and financial outcomes cannot be underestimated. The Contract Manager will also work closely with the company’s asset management team delivering the lifecycle investment and planned preventative maintenance programme to ensure the sustainability and longevity of the site is maximised.

• A strong leader and manager with a minimum of five year experience in a senior role

• Ability to build trust and confidence with the client

• Ability to communicate with and develop the relationship with the client

• Strong financial management and attention to detail

• Ability to learn, interpret, understand and deliver the intricacies of a PFI contract and meet the outcomes required
