We are looking for a Cleaner to join our cleaning team at the Castle Theatre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a theatre and arts environment. As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for the cleanliness of the venue, cleaning all areas as necessary to a weekly schedule. Create a welcoming, pleasant and safe environment to all users of Castle Theatre, Wellingborough.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• To clean all areas of the facility as per the cleaning rota’s, ensuring that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.

• To take responsibility for your own Health & Safety and follow safe working practices, maintaining safe working practices at all times.

• To ensure all cleaning procedures are followed at all times and relevant PPE is worn as required.

• Basic knowledge of health and safety, including COSHH. All necessary training relating to the role, as well as practical training on the use of specific equipment will be provided.

• To report any safety issues or concerns that may arise.

• To attend training as required for the role.

• To be presentable at all times.

• To maintain and store cleaning equipment as required.

• To carry out any other ad hoc tasks that may be relevant to your role as directed by the management team.

Knowledge & Experience

• Previous experience of working in a similar role – Desirable

• Previous experience of working in a theatre environment – Desirable

Terms & Conditions of Service

• 0 hours contract at NMW: Looking for Weds, Thurs, Fri mornings (7.30am) availiability and occasional weekends subject to show program. 

• Probationary Period: The post is subject to a six month probationary period
