Assistant Financial Accountant

Parkwood Leisure Head Office - Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire.

Up to £30,000

Full Time, Permanent, flexible/hybrid options available.

 

Based at our head office in Droitwich, our Finance department is on the hunt for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join our central support team.  Our finance department has a proven track record for staff training, development and support and we offer free parking, flexible/hybrid working options, study support and access to a local leisure facility as part of our generous package.

The Opportunity

As part of a team of five, you will:

  • Assist the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Accountants in financial requirements detailed within the Contracts and Leases with our partners (local authorities/trust partners etc), in the required formats.

  • Raise and process contractual invoices (Management fees / Rent / Income Shares etc).

  • Assist with the preparation of any other financial reports required by board directors or external parties/stakeholders.

  • Assist the Senior Financial Accountant and Financial Accountants with the year end statutory accounts and audit process for all entities.

  • Assist with the collation of information to be used in the preparation of company tax returns;

  • Complete balance sheet reconciliations;

  • Assist with maintaining the integrity of the financial results;

  • To undertake any other duties as may be required by the company.

The Person

  • Studying towards/desire to study towards an accountancy qualification AAT/ACCA/ACA/CIMA or qualified by experience.

  • Previous experience with management accounts is advantageous but not essential.

  • Strong spreadsheet skills.

  • Meticulous, organised, enthusiastic and hardworking.

  • Good time management is essential.

  • Have a good attention to detail, ability to coordinate substantial amounts of information.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.

  • Strong communication skills, able to build and maintain effective relationships.
