The role of Attraction Manager is an important position to be able to continue the success that Plantasia Tropical Zoo has achieved in recent years.
The Opportunity
Provide the strategic leadership, customer and commercial focus for the site to grow and develop into one of the most successful visitor attractions in South West Wales
Ensure the day to day operation of the site maximises income and is operated with customer service and H&S as a paramount priority
Develop and implement a sales, events and marketing plan for the site
Develop and manage the relationship with the client ensuring all reporting and KPI’s required are provided and met
Develop and manage staff reviewing the staff structure to present and operate the building to its fullest capacity
Manage supplier relationships
Nurture and develop relationships with all departments within the company to ensure “joined-up” activity across the company.
Maintain records as required
Ensure compliance with all company Policy and Procedures, review the relevancy of documents as required and make recommendations for amendments as required.
Ensure Statutory Compliance for the site and lead on the liaison with the landlord and local authority
Recruitment, and management of all site staff
Any other duties and tasks that are commensurate with this post.
Person Specification
Qualifications & skills
Essential
Relevant Degree or a minimum of 3 years experience in visitor attraction management
Proven negotiation and influencing skills
Human resource management skills in a similar environment
Good analytical skills
Demonstrably versatile ability to adopt and use software systems
Demonstrable leadership and supervisory skills and the ability to work effectively within a small team
Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to work within tight deadlines and timescales
Desirable
Proven track record in visitor attraction management
Exposure to working in the leisure or associated industry.
